![]() ![]() I created a high sierra install USB on another computer, reformatted the drive again, tried to install High Sierra, and now it gets stuck at the same place. I tried replacing the HDD cable and it didn't help. ![]() Tried to reinstall Mac OS Lion from network recovery (that was the version in the recovery), and after it downloaded the software etc and rebooted to install, the computer got stuck at a screen quickly flashing between the Apple logo, prohibitory sign, and folder with a question mark. I booted into recovery and it said the partition structure with the SSD was damaged, so I backed up the data (could still access Macintosh HD, so I guess the EFI was damaged) and reformatted the drive in Disk Utility. The other day, the prohibitory sign was flashing on the computer. It had a SanDisk Pro SSD installed as the main drive a couple months ago and has been working perfectly. ![]() Having a very strange problem with a A1278 MacBook Pro. ![]()
